About Biotech Leaders Academy: Biotech Leaders Academy nurtures and expands the Los Angeles region’s entrepreneurial and innovation economy. We are developing a more inclusive local economy by creating opportunities for students from populations that are underrepresented in the biotech industry. This summer, we placed eight diverse, bright students from Cal State LA, East LA Community College, Los Angeles City College, and Pasadena City College into paid internships at bioscience companies across LA County. Plus, ten additional students joined our cohort and participated in the program’s five-module entrepreneurship seminar about the fundamentals of starting and sustaining a bioscience company.
